About:

David Lumsden is a writer/director of award winning short films, commercials and music videos.

He recently completed two feature films for Reel One Entertainment and Heehaw productions.

His latest short ‘Lure’ which is a proof of concept short for a feature film launched at film festivals in October 2023. The project is in development with new horror label ‘Nickie-Ben’ with plans to shoot in 2024.

As well as directing, he has written a critically acclaimed post apocalyptic graphic novel series titled ‘Boat’ which launched at the Edinburgh International Book Festival in 2023. The book was based on his Scottish BAFTA award winning short film Boat that released in 2015.

He is currently developing television, feature and graphic novel projects while working part time as a directing lecturer at the Screen Academy in Edinburgh.
